Edmonton’s WINTER SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL is dedicated to bringing accessible, high-quality productions of Shakespearean classics to the city during the winter months.

Based on traditional performance practices, and staged in unique site-specific locations, these productions offer audiences a new way to experience Shakespeare in the theatre, in conditions consonant with those of the plays’ original productions.

The festival also offers a number of satellite events, providing students and the wider community an opportunity to increase their engagement, education, and access to classical theatre throughout the year.
